Handmade in Japan from ceramic with a striking turquoise crackleglaze finish, each piece carries the soul of authentic Japanese craftsmanship. No two sets are fired the same way — no two are exactly alike. Each set includes 2 ceramic sushi plates (寿司皿 — Sushi Sara), 2 ceramic sauce dishes (小皿 — Kozara), 2 pairs of wooden chopsticks (お笸 — Ohashi), 2 wooden chopstick rests (笸置き — Hashioki), and free gift wrapping in traditional washi paper (和紙).

Kan'nyū (貫入) is one of Japan's most celebrated ceramic techniques — a deliberate, controlled cracking of the glaze surface created by the difference in contraction between glaze and clay as the kiln cools. The result is a web of fine lines unique to every piece, a technique prized since the Momoyama period (1573–1615) and still practised by Japanese ceramic artisans today. It is not a flaw. It is the mark of the maker's hand, and the passage of fire.
