The Turquoise Crackleglaze Japanese Tea Cup is made in Japan from quality ceramic, with a stunning turquoise crackle glaze interior and a warm, earthy brown speckled exterior. The crackle glaze — 貫入 (Kannyu) — forms during firing as the glaze contracts at a different rate to the clay beneath, creating a delicate web of fine lines unique to each piece. No two cups are ever exactly alike.
Handleless by design, it sits naturally in both palms. Perfect for green tea, sencha, hojicha, matcha, and herbal blends. Hand wash only.
