They carry one of Japan's most beloved treasures — the Chōju Giga (鳥獣戲), a set of 12th-century illustrated scrolls from Kyoto's Kōzan-ji temple, considered the world's oldest manga. Frogs, rabbits, and monkeys are depicted playing, wrestling, and feasting — a gentle, witty commentary on human nature, painted by an unknown hand nearly 900 years ago. Now those same characters dance across these beautifully frosted glass tumblers in delicate gold line work, making every pour feel like a moment from another era.
