This authentic Japanese vase is called Shigaraki-yaki, which means that it comes from Shiga-prefecture and one of the 6 oldest kiln production areas in Japan. Shigaraki-yaki frequently produces beautiful pieces of pottery occasionally with minor blemishes which are not faults but a part of their charm and character!
