Collection: Woodblock Prints

Our range of Japanese Woodblock Prints are beautiful hand made woodblock prints, made by craftsmen who are members of the Tokyo Traditional Woodblock Manufacturing Association.
All the processes are completed by hand without any help from machines and using traditional Ukiyo-e carving and printing techniques which have been used for the past 300 years. Mountain cherry trees, which are ideal for delicate carving, are used for the blocks and the washi paper is made one sheet at a time using traditional techniques. These Japanese Woodblock Prints, which are referred to as Edo moku-hanga, have recently received high praise as traditional Japanese art from various public organisations in Japan.
